The footbridge over the A40 was removed on the night of Saturday 17 to Sunday 18 October as OCC concluded that it was beyond repair. The work seemed to go smoothly and was completed by Sunday morning. The road was closed overnight with diversions in place. The bridge is being replaced by a pedestrian crossing controlled by traffic lights. This photograph was kindly provided by Pete Gould.
