Advertising in the Bridge

The Bridge offers local companies and organisations the opportunity to advertise their events, products and services directly to every household in the local area through its various advertising pages and also its Local Business Directory both in its printed editions and on its webpages.

Editorial articles may also be submitted by businesses, at the discretion of the editors, if they highlight an area of general or topical interest, but donations may be appropriate if this promotes a particular company or product.

Please contact us for more information and pricing using the form at the bottom of the page. Cut off date for advertisements  is the 9th of the month preceding the month of publication. Magazines are distributed at the beginning of each month and online business directory listings are also updated at that time.

If you advertise in the Bridge Magazine, you accept the Bridge Magazine's terms as defined in our Publishing Policy, our Privacy and Terms and Conditions, and the Advertising Terms and Conditions set out below.

The Bridge Advertising Terms and Conditions 2019

These terms and conditions are incorporated into any agreement between an advertiser (“the Advertiser”) and The Bridge Community Magazine (“The Bridge”) for the placement of any advertisement in The Bridge. The placing of an order for placement of an advertisement shall indicate the acceptance by the Advertiser of these terms and conditions to the exclusion of any other terms and conditions on the Advertiser’s order form or elsewhere.

The Advertiser confirms that the advertisement complies with all applicable legislation, regulations and codes of practice and that publication of the advertisement will not breach any contract, infringe any copyright, trademark or right of any third party and is not defamatory of any person.

The price of any advertisement shall be the amount fixed by our published advertising rates. The Bridge requires payment in advance of one third of the total cost of any order over £500 which must be paid by the twentieth day of the calendar month before the month in which the advertisement (or the first in the case of a series of advertisements) is due to appear.

Payment for all advertisements (other than as specified in clause 3 above) shall fall due 30 days after the date of the invoice. Thereafter interest shall be charged on late payments pursuant to the Late Payments of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1988 at the rate of 8% above the Bank of England’s base lending rate from the date payment was due to the date of actual payment together with the reasonable administration costs of collecting an overdue debt plus an administration charge of £30 for any cheque not met on presentation and compensation for any losses directly or indirectly suffered by The Bridge as a result of late payment.

The Advertiser may cancel or amend a single advertisement by giving 20 days’ written notice to The Bridge prior to the first day of the month in which the advertisement is due to appear. The Bridge will then make reasonable efforts to resell the space but the Advertiser will still be responsible for the full price if the sale is not resold or for the difference in price if resold for less.

The Advertiser may cancel any order for a series of advertisements but will remain liable to pay the full cost of the series regardless of whether The Bridge is able to resell the space.

The total liability of The Bridge in any circumstances for any error or non-publication shall be limited to a re-insertion of the advertisement or a proportionate refund. The Advertiser must check and is solely responsible for checking an advertisement before and after insertion and must notify The Bridge of errors within 14 days of publication.

The Advertiser shall be liable to indemnify The Bridge for all losses, damages, costs (including legal costs) and expenses of any kind suffered or incurred by The Bridge as a result of claims or actions (actual or threatened) by third parties arising from or in connection with the Advertiser’s breach of these terms or the publication of an advertisement, unless arising from any negligence or failure on the part of The Bridge.

These terms and conditions are governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
