The Witney Gazette of 23 February published a statutory notice by Greystoke of its intention to appeal against WODC’s refusal to grant planning permission for the development of Cole’s Field. The notice is of no interest in itself, it is just the necessary first step in the appeal process.
At the time of writing we do not know the grounds of appeal nor what form the appeal will take. It could be dealt with just on written submissions or on Zoom/Microsoft Teams but we are assuming that it will be a full-blooded hearing in person before a planning inspector appointed by the government.
What is certain is that we have another fight on our hands because BTC is unswerving in its opposition to the proposed development. We will, of course, keep you informed and have no doubt that at some stage in the process we shall call on you for vociferous support!
