The application for planning permission to build on Cole's Field in Burford was heard yesterday by West Oxfordshire district council's uplands planning sub-committee. Planning permission was refused. Cllr John White, who attended the meeting on behalf of Burford town council, has written as follows:
We won – emphatically! The decision of the district councillors on the Uplands Planning Committee was unanimous and a number of them spoke against the application in strong terms.
Greystoke has 6 months to lodge an appeal so keep the fizz in the fridge.
