Across the county the Conservatives lost nine seats including Chipping Norton, Witney North & East and that of the council leader, Ian Hudspeth, in Woodstock. There is no party in overall control of the council with the Conservatives on 22 (-9), Liberal Democrats on 21 (+8), Labour 15 (+1), Green 3 (+3) and Independent 1 (-3).
West Oxfordshire District Council remains under the control of the Conservatives with 28 seats out of 49. The Lib Dems hold 10, Labour 8, Independents 2 and Greens 1.
