Fortunately nobody was hurt in a serious raid accident in Burford which happened on Tuesday 9 March. We are told that it took place at around 6.20am when a white BMW travelling downhill collided with two other cars, coming to rest near the Oxford Shirt Company shop. As it was early in the morning there was nobody walking along the pavement and children were not on their way to school. The BMW and two other cars were written off. It took several hours to clear up the site, with three wheelie bins filled with debris. There was also a spill of diesel fuel which was cleaned up by OCC Highways. No doubt the CCTV cameras in the High Street will come in useful for the purpose of investigating the accident.
