Could there be 70 new dwellings in Sheep Street?

WODC have released their "Preferred Spatial Options Consultations Paper". This doesn't sound very exciting but it could have a big impact on the future of the town. It sets out possible sites where new housing could be provided under the forthcoming Local Plan. We emphasise the word "possible" because this is only one stage of the process and nothing is settled yet. It does give us all a chance to comment on this and perhaps influence the final decision.

The report identifies over 20 possible sites in the District. The one concerning Burford is for the south side of Sheep Street stretching from Burford Surgery to the cemetery. Details can be found by following the link below and going to page 70.

We understand that the consultation process will run from 1 November to mid-December. We shall publish more details of how to comment when this information becomes available.
