As Derek said in his own words that the May 2026 elections are looming and he felt that it is better that he departs, to enable the council to focus on building strength and focus for the next four years' tenure serving the townsfolk of Burford.
Derek joins a long list of individuals who have devoted their time and efforts on the Burford Town Council. As a Council we wish to express our sincerest thanks and appreciation for the positive effects Derek has generated for Burford and we wish him all the best for the future and hope he enjoys his retirement from Council duties.
